Founder’s Statement
My journey began when I started helping my son, Michael, with his schoolwork at the age of seven. He had unexpectedly received a B instead of his usual A, and I stepped in to support him. With consistent guidance in Math, English, and Science, Michael grew into a curious, disciplined, and high-achieving student. When he turned 16, he began tutoring alongside me and helped found Glenview Tutors. He has since graduated with a Master’s degree from Northwestern University and is a proud member of the National Chemical Engineering Honor Society.
As Michael’s academic success became evident, neighbors began asking me to work with their children as well. Word quickly spread, and more families brought their students to me for help. Over the years, as I worked with students, I kept asking myself a fundamental question: What holds students back from truly focusing and learning effectively?
That question led to the idea behind Glenview Tutors. Today’s K–12 students are overwhelmed with extracurricular commitments and often lack the time to focus on core academics, bouncing between multiple tutors or centers just to get subject-specific support. We envisioned a better way: a single location that supports all essential academic subjects under one roof. This is what we call the One-Stop-Shop Principle.
To make this work, each tutor at our center must be a master of all core subjects. It’s also very important that students work consistently with the same tutor throughout the school year- someone who becomes personally responsible for their academic progress and long-term growth.
Last but not least, while many tutoring centers rely on rigid, standardized curriculums with level-based systems, we believe that’s not the right approach. Every student learns at a different pace and comes from a unique background: different schools, different curriculums, and different needs. That’s why we design custom-tailored programs for each learner; programs built to match their pace, needs, and goals.

Why Our Tutors Stand Out
At Glenview Tutors, we don’t just hire smart students — we build expert educators. Every tutor on our team is carefully selected and rigorously trained to meet the highest standards in the industry. Especially when it comes to tutoring high school students, we know that excellence isn't optional — it's essential.
What Makes a Great High School Tutor?
Tutoring high school students isn’t just about knowing Math or English. It means being ready to help with any subject a student might bring — whether it’s ACT/SAT prep, AP Chemistry, Physics homework, or a challenging English paper. That requires more than just good grades — it requires depth, flexibility, and real mastery across subjects.
That’s why our standards go far beyond the competition.
Other tutoring centers may settle for AP or Honors students. It’s great, but it's not enough for us. Every candidate — no matter their background — must prove their knowledge on our terms, not just their school’s.
What are our High School Tutor Requirements?
ACT score of 34 or above
Must pass our own subject-mastery exams
Must complete multi-session training before leading any class
Built From Within
We give priority to tutors who were once Glenview Tutors students themselves. Why? Because they’ve already experienced the system that works. They know how we teach, how we think, and how we get results — and they bring that experience full circle when they return as tutors.
What About Tutors for Younger Students?
We maintain high expectations across the board. While our elementary and middle school tutors are not required to have a 34 ACT, they must still pass every subject test we give them — in Math, English, and Science. They’re expected to help students not just with our curriculum but with any homework they bring from school.
In short, every tutor at Glenview Tutors is more than just a smart student — they’re a carefully trained, all-subject-ready educator committed to student success.
